Local
birds and other specialities:
- On the muddy border (read bottom beause of the low waterlevel) of the canal I counted 68 Egyptian Geese, 2 Ruddy Shelduck and one Barnacle Goose.
- Other Local birds: Kingfisher, juvenile Sparrowhawk catching an White Wagail above the water of the IJssel, 2 Snipes, 4 Curlews, 5 White Storks, Yellow-legged Gull, Great Crested Grebe and only 2 Coots.
- Two migrating Red Admirals (Vanessa atalanta) passed by flying south.
