Local birds and other specialities:
  • We did the late morningcounting to avoid the daily early morningfog these days. It worked.
  • Pale Clouded Yellow (Colias hyale) Gele Luzernevlinder (17-september 2003)A special butterfly we saw this morning was a  Pale Clouded Yellow (Colias hyale); Gele Luzernevlinder in dutch.

  • I managed to take a digi-picture of this butterfly. It was my first one this year; Henk-Jan's third already so 2003 seems to be a good year.
  • The pair of Ruddy Shelducks, flying downstream (NNE) the river IJssel was a nice suprise.
  • Local birds; White Stork, White-fronted Geese, Coal Tits, Bullfinch and so on..
