Note:
  • It started to rain so I left earlier.
  • Two groups (10 & 22 birds) of House Martins were flying extremely high. Hardly visible.
  • Cuckoo was a suprise; flying to ESE.
  • Barn Swallows have started serious migration.
Local birds and other specialities:
  • Just like last year (24-aug-2001) I found a small moultfeather of a Barn Owl at the countingpoint.
  • One Kingfisher was present, and like always they behave the same. Flying low over the water, rising and flying between the fence and the tree to the decoy behind me. They do it like this for many years but it can't be always the same bird.
