Note:
-
Just like 1999, at this first early morningcounting, Great Egrets!. Two
birds flew with two Grey Herons to WNW. This was the fifth observation
of this species at the observationpoint since 1994 and for the first time
more than one.
Local birds and other specialities:
-
Two Kingfishers were present; and Water Rail, Shovelers, two Purple Herons,
etc. Early in the morning, a group of 200 Lapwings was flying around. The
birds didn't leave, but went foraging on a mowed field. On this field there
were also several hundreds of Black-headed Gulls, three Grey Herons and
eight White Storks.
