Note:
-
I've been birdwatching in Falserbo a couple of days so there were no birdcountings
in the Wieden these days.
Thousands of Bramblings in the fields northern of Falsterbo; The next
day the Swedish birders counted 199.000 migrating Bramblings at Nabben.
Most impressive at Falsterbo were the huge numbers of migrating Blue
Tits, Sparrowhawks, Fieldfares and Redwings, Brambling/Chaffinch, Siskins,
the large groups of Woodpigeons; Beautiful Red Kites, Grey Seals, etc...
Local birds and other specialities at the observationpoint in the Wieden:
-
Water Pipits are back; several were staying on the wet grassland.
-
For the first time in all these years there was a calling Nuthatch in the
decoy. The nearest breeding place for the Nuthatch is 4 kilometers to the
west. Also at the countingpoint "De Vulkaan" at Den Haag, they saw a Nuthatch
(Boomklever) today; very scarce there also www.vwgdenhaag.myweb.nl
-
Bearded Tits were calling from the reedbeds.
-
Other inhabitants; Bullfinch, 2 Jays, a Great Spotted Woodpecker.
