(Hybrid) .. Partridge

(Alectoris spec.)

Example 1

Date: 20 october 1990
Origin: Bird was shot
Location: Northampton, Midslands, GB
Age and sex:
Feathers: Tail- and bellyfeathers
Note: The  presence of a double band seems to be an evidence of an hybrid bird or from another Alectoris species. For example, in Spain the red-legged is quite common and the feathers have a single band. The populations of this game bird are frequently reinforced with animals from game farms so, from time to time, is possible to found hybrids in the field aswell as other Alectoris species.
