We heard a Whimbrel but we couldn't find it (or them). The group of 8 Curlews
flew very low, the same with the Lapwings and Oystercatchers.
Local
birds and other specialities:
-
Around nine p.m. a Black Kite appeared from the north, circling and gliding
and landed into the huge poplars at the other site of the river. It stayed
there to roost (see picture).
