Local birds and other specialities:
  • Not much migration this morning. Just wait, drink your coffee, smoke your cigarettes and see what will come.

    • Suddenly, a huge juvenile White-tailed Eagle flew from the westbank of the river, straight to a group of 200 White-fronted Geese in front of us. The geese all flew away in panic. Then the eagle started to circle above the river and flew back to the Rammelwaard where it came from. Meanwhile chased bij Crows, Jackdaws and a Buzzard.
    Two weeks ago, on the eleventh of october, Henk-Jan saw also a White-tailed Eagle passing by and there was an other observation of one in the Rammelwaard on the 22th.  It seems that the bird stays here for at least two weeks now.
