Note:
-
When I arrived, a Long-eared Owl flew away through the willows.
-
The temperature was low and the birds started early to fly.
-
Soon the first groups of Redwings passed by and soon there were large groups
flying over one by one. The largest group I saw counted 300 Redwings.
-
A Buzzard flew to SSW later followed by other raptors, 5 Sparrowhawks,
1 juvenile Merlin and a adult Peregrine.
Local birds and other specialities:
-
A huge group of White-fronted Geese an Greylag Geese stayed on the other
side of the river.
