Today was very special with lots of birds migrating. After two hours of counting with winds from NNW and normal numbers of birdmigration, suddenly the wind turned to NE.
Hundreds, even thousands of birds started to migrate in large groups.
In the afternoon, a couple of Little Egrets flew over to SW.
Very special were the large numbers of Skylarks, Redwings, Fieldfares, Greylag Geese and White-fronted Geese. But also the numbers of Pintails, Widgeons and Grey Herons were quit unusual.
After I stopped, birds were still flying the rest of the day.

The radar-images of rainfall showed large concentrations of bird along the borders of the Flevopolders, near the Oostvaardersdijk and perhaps also above the Wadden (Ameland & Terschelling).
